Smoky Rosemary Spiced Nuts

I adapted this recipe from a NYT Cooking recipe when I wanted to make some fancy nuts for a holiday party, but I wanted them to be refined sugar free, dairy free, and a little smoky!

Ingredients:

1 lb unsalted mixed fancy nuts (sprouted if you have trouble digesting legumes)

1 tbs melted vegan butter (I like Miyoko’s) or coconut oil

4 tbs fresh rosemary, chopped (or 4 tsp dried)

1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

1/2-1 tsp chipotle chili powder (based on your desired spice level, you can always add more)

1 tablespoon pink Himalayan sea salt

Instructions:

  • Mix your melted vegan butter and nuts together and spread on a baking sheet

  • Roast at 350 degrees for 7-10 mins

  • Mix the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl

  • Toss the nuts with the herbs and spices in a big bowl and enjoy!
